Hi denizens of the Pokenverse! Greetings and salutations as the spider once said (or wrote in her web).
It would be a bit of an understatement to point out that we’ve spiffed things up around here at poken.com. We’ve overhauled the marketing section of the site- new content, new pretty pictures, new fan interactions. Our goal was to make sure y’all knew Poken was about you. We want to rotate in and out new stories, photos, experiences and Poken fan fun, so please let us know about any of that stuff.
The real star, of course, is the pokenHUB, where you upload and sync your contacts, view the timeline (someone called it a friend wave. I don’t know about you, but I really like that…. marketing may get a hold of it), detect your Poken (huzzah, right?), the powerlist, points and twitter widgets, and we’re just getting started.
It’s pretty cool beans, but we know we’ve got some tinkering to do. There’s a reason we put Beta next to the logo – we have some bugs to squash and some points systems to figure out. We know. So, i’d like to ask you to:
Please excuse our appearance while we renovate. We’re moving around some of the furniture, knocking down some walls, and of course, repainting. We want to make our collective Poken home the most efficient, comfortable, and beautiful house on the block. So, while you may notice things in the midst of repair, bear with us. We promise not to get any paint on your shirt.
It’ll be worth it, we promise. So far we know the timeline can take a hot second to load and that sometimes those contacts don’t want to synch. Take a deep breath and come back in a couple. Our software and engineering guys don’t sleep to make sure you have the best experience – working out these hiccups and planning amazing features for the future.
You’ve gotten in on the ground floor. And as far as we can tell, there’s no ceiling on this site (wordplay!). It just takes some time.
We’ll be sending out releases and tweeting and generally going pineapples about all the new stuff soon. We just want to make sure we’re all as happy as can be when we do (not that anyone as passionate as a pokenaut is ever satisfied with their work).
Alrighty, i’m off to add some networks and check out if any of the spanish futbol maniacs i met at the airport have synched up yet.
